Autonomous mobile manipulator for collaborative operations

COMAU and AIC have developed two autonomous mobile manipulators that combine a robotic arm with an autonomous mobile platform, enabling flexible, collaborative operations in industrial environments. The systems support dynamic task allocation, safe human-robot interaction, and rapid reconfiguration of production lines, validated through pilot demonstrations and ongoing industry engagement.

AIC continues leveraging the ODIN engine inspection process in their smart factory as part of their daily operations and they receive 1 to 2 company visits every week, during which they present their capabilities, including the ODIN technologies. These demonstrations are generating genuine interest in the industry, and as a result, they already initiated early discussions with several manufacturing companies to explore the feasibility and scalability to their specific work environments.
